The Mission board of the Free Church – generation-mission.org – organises a monthly prayer schedule for the congregations across our denomination for each week of each month we are asked to pray for specific congregations and their various needs and thanksgivings. We will try and keep you updated on our website of the congregations to be praying for each week. For week beginning 13th June your congregations to remember before the Lord are:

St Andrews Minister: Paul Clarke Assistant Minister: Hamish Sneddon

We are a church family of young and old, locals and students, from a range of walks of life and nationalities. We’re passionate about reaching out to those around us, building people up in the gospel, and sending out workers into the harvest field of Scotland and the world, praying that all would use their gifts to glorify God. We have a particular desire to see the Lord raise up full-time gospel workers from among us who can serve wherever He leads them.

Prayer Points:

  1. Please pray that the Lord of the Harvest would raise up workers from among us for the harvest field of Scotland and the wider world (Luke 10:2). We are blessed to have the opportunity to train men and women for gospel work, and we long to see them go out to Scotland and the wider world. We especially long to see men being raised up for the leadership of local churches, so please pray for those who are currently in training with us while studying at ETS.
  2. Please pray for unity among all the age groups represented in our congregation as they minister to one another in love.

Lybster, Bruan, Latheron & Berridale Minister: Vacant Interim Moderator: Howard Stone

Situated on the rugged, yet stunning east side of the Isle of Lewis, Pairc Free Church serves the community of South Lochs. Following the retiral of Mr Jim Morrison, after more than 30 years service, and the sale of the congregation’s property, the fellowship is very small. During the lockdown, some members have joined with other Caithness congregations for on-line meetings. Now they are able to join with the local Church of Scotland for their morning service, while still joining on Zoom for other meetings.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give his people in Lybster the Spirit of wisdom and revelation that the eyes of their hearts might be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which he has called them, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
  2. Pray that the seed of God’s truth that has been sown over many years may grow and bear much fruit, and ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest.

Here are all the congregations we will be focusing on for prayer across the month of June
