The Mission board of the Free Church – generation-mission.org – organises a monthly prayer schedule for the congregations across our denomination for each week of each month we are asked to pray for specific congregations and their various needs and thanksgivings. We will try and keep you updated on our website of the congregations to be praying for each week. For week beginning 18th July your congregations to remember before the Lord are:

Kinloch Minister: Paul Murray

Govanhill is situated on the southside of Glasgow. It is a densely populated area with c.15,000 people within its square mile. We are a congregation in the Lochs area of Isle of Lewis covering around 10 villages of varying sizes.

Prayer Points:

  1. Pray that the Lord’s people in Kinloch would be strengthened and encouraged in their faith.
  2. Pray that unbelievers in the district, many of whom are covenant children, would be converted.

Gardenstown New Church MinisterRobin Gray

Gardenstown is a small fishing village on the North Aberdeenshire coast, near Banff. The congregation joined the Free Church in 2016, having previously left the Church of Scotland. The Covid pandemic has brought both challenges and fresh opportunities to share the gospel with our community, and it is our prayer that people who have been reached in one way or another during this time will find a home with us in the days ahead.

Prayer Points:

  1. Please pray for new converts. Our great desire is to see people come to faith and be added to our number. To that end, please pray that all efforts to reach our community with the gospel would be blessed by God and used to bring people to a saving knowledge of Christ.
  2. Please pray for unity in the congregation as we emerge from lockdown restrictions and seek to renew and deepen the bonds of fellowship in Christ. Pray that the community would know we are disciples of Christ because we love one another.

Here are all the congregations we will be focusing on for prayer across the month of June
