The Mission board of the Free Church – generation-mission.org – organises a monthly prayer schedule for the congregations across our denomination for each week of each month we are asked to pray for specific congregations and their various needs and thanksgivings. We will try and keep you updated on our website of the congregations to be praying for each week. For week beginning 1st Aug your congregations to remember before the Lord are:
Livingston Minister: Nigel Anderson
Livingston is a fast growing urban conglomeration of a population of over 57000 people. The congregation serves the town plus neighbouring towns and villages of West Lothian including Whitburn, Bathgate and Fauldhouse. The congregation consists of a mixture of Lowland, Highland, Island, Northern Irish, Welsh and English members and adherents, sharing the desire to serve the Saviour in an increasingly secularised environment.
Prayer Points:
- Pray for effective witness in the local vicinity and online.
- Give thanks for new attendees at in-person services.
Burghead Minister: Peter Turnbull
We are a small but growing/revitalising congregation in Burghead, a fishing village on the Moray coast.
Prayer Points:
- Praise God for the way he has grown out congregation throughout the pandemic. Pray for those still reluctant to regather after lockdown, that they would prioritise the gathering of the Lord’s people. Pray also for our many new contacts (during the Pandemic) to grow into new conversions!
- Pray for Davi and Emma De Paula who will join us in Burghead next month as Davi becomes our first minister-in-training.
