The Mission board of the Free Church – generation-mission.org – organises a monthly prayer schedule for the congregations across our denomination for each week of each month we are asked to pray for specific congregations and their various needs and thanksgivings. We will try and keep you updated on our website of the congregations to be praying for each week. For week beginning 5th Sept your congregations to remember before the Lord are:
North Harris – Minister: David Macleod
Kiltarlity Free Church is rural congregation 20 minutes outside of Inverness. Kiltarlity, Kirkhill and Beauly are growing as commuter villages for Inverness with a lot of young families moving into the area. The congregation has a mixture of ages reflecting the wider area.
- Give thanks for the recent successful holiday club which saw over 50 children of younger and older age groups hear the gospel in an outreach setting. Pray for lasting fruit for the contacts made with unchurched families.
- Pray for the forthcoming launch of “Rooted” a youth club for secondary kids on Friday evenings, building on the success of JaM and Connect clubs for the younger children on Friday afternoons
Dunoon & Strachur – Interim Moderator: Alasdair MacDonald
Dunoon and Strachur is part of the Glasgow and Argyll Presbytery. The Dunoon church building is located on the main shopping street in the town of Dunoon.
- Pray that the congregation would continue to be a faithful witness to the surrounding community.
- Pray for the leadership of the congregation as they serve the people of the church and plan for the future.
Here are all the congregations we will be focusing on for prayer across the month of September
