We are looking forward to sharing communion together this Sunday morning at the Lord’s table as we eat the bread and drink the cup in remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ giving his body and pouring out his blood for us.
We are delighted to welcome Rev. John Mackinnon, who is the minister of Calderwood Baptist Church in East Kilbride, to lead our services this communion Sunday.
Over the weekend there will be the following gatherings and services:
- Morning Prayer Meeting – Sunday 25th at 10am in the church hall
- Communion Service – Sunday 25th at 11am (with Creche and Sunday Club for pre-school to P3)
- Evening Service – Sunday 25th at 6pm
- Whole Church fellowship – after the end of the evening service in the hall downstairs with a cup of tea/coffee as John will share a bit about his ministry in East Kilbride and beyond.
Everyone is warmly invited to join with us for these meetings
The elements of communion: you will receive individual packaged bread and sealed cups of the wine as you come in to the church. We will ask you to keep these until the appropriate time in the service where we will eat and drink together.
If anyone would like to profess faith in Jesus publicly for the first time or would like to join the church membership please speak to Kenny or one of our elders and they would be delighted to speak with you.
‘For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. ‘
