The Mission board of the Free Church – generation-mission.org – organises a monthly prayer schedule for the congregations across our denomination for each week of each month we are asked to pray for specific congregations and their various needs and thanksgivings. We will try and keep you updated on our website of the congregations to be praying for each week. For week beginning 24th October your congregations to remember before the Lord are:
Tarbert – Interim Moderator: Rodger Crooks
Tarbert Free Church is a small congregation in mid-Argyll, which has had no minister for several years. At the start of May 2021, Rodger Crooks came to be part-time Resident Supply.
Prayer Points:
- Pray that we will develop a church culture along the lines of Acts 2:41-47 that enables us to be a healthy gospel church for our community.
- Pray that the Lord of the harvest will provide workers and resources to enable the gospel to prosper in mid-Argyll.
Knox Church, Perth – Minister: Paul Gibson
Knox Church Perth exists to glorify God by worshipping Him, serving His Kingdom and making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our congregation is made up of around 70 members, some of whom are recent converts and others have been walking with Christ for many years. We have two services on a Sunday, a prayer meeting on Wednesday, drop-in/outreach cafe on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, a Mums and Toddler group on Fridays and an after school children’s club once a week. We are very thankful to God for the way that He has sustained and blessed us over this difficult past 18 months.
Prayer Points:
- Pray for those who are relatively new to our congregation, that they would be blessed to us and us to them and that together we would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
- Pray that each one of us would seek first the Kingdom of God, honour Christ and be faithful witnesses in our families, workplaces and throughout our daily lives – that others would see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven.
Here are all the congregations we will be focusing on for prayer across the month of October
